Join Electronic Arts as a World Art Intern to create 3D assets and gain hands-on experience in a hybrid work environment at EA Vancouver.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Create assets including characters, weapons, and props, learning all aspects of production from concept to integration.
  • Model and texture assets from given reference materials.
  • Adapt work based on feedback and reviews.
  • Receive actionable feedback on 3D assets to ensure they meet technical requirements.
  • Create or match an existing aesthetic style and implement it through asset authoring.
  • Optimize assets for performance based on given requirements.

About You

The company is looking for:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree granting program in a related field.
  • Experience integrating assets in a game engine.
  • Knowledge of industry standard software such as Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter/Designer, and Photoshop.
  • Understanding of 3D modeling concepts including form, shape, structure, and silhouette.
  • Good eye for light, shades, color, and detail in creating texture maps of different material types.
  • Knowledge of real-time modeling techniques including shaders, PBR, normal maps, and displacement maps.
  • Availability for a full-time paid internship in summer 2026 based in EA Vancouver.
  • Enrollment in an accredited degree program during summer 2026, with graduation no earlier than December 2026.
  • Legal authorization to work full-time in Canada during the 16-week internship; visa sponsorship is not available.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $60,000 - $65,000 CAD (depending on location within British Columbia).
  • 80 hours per year of sick time (prorated if less than full-time).
  • 16 paid company holidays per year.
  • Medical insurance.
  • 401(k) plan.
