Job title: Warehouse Clerk/ Kitting Prep

Job description: Established solar energy storage manufacturer is seeking a Warehouse Clerk- This role is responsible for basic administrative and physical tasks involved in the kitting, shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of products and inventory. This is a labor position and requires moving, bending and lifting and changing positions on a constant basis. Position requires sitting, standing and repetitive production work. This position reports directly to the SVP of Operations and is located in Oxnard, CA. This is a work to hire long term position.

Responsibilities:

  • Kitting materials and products for the install team
  • Kitting installation trucks with necessary equipment
  • Shipping and receiving equipment
  • Data entry into ERP system
  • Verify and receive materials into inventory
  • Labeling and organizing packages for storage or transit
  • Running errands to CED
  • Taking trucks to repair shop when needed
  • Palletizing and shrink-wrapping of material
  • Ensure quality processes are followed on all warehouse tasks
  • Responsible for opening and closing the warehouse
  • Takes direction from the the SVP of Operations (not on-site) and from the management team on-site in Oxnard, CA
  • Collaborate with the Logistics manager and warehouse manager (both not on-site)
  • Other duties as assigned
Work Experience:
  • 2+ years of prior warehouse experience
  • Must be computer literate
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems
  • Forklift certification a plus
  • Must be able to obtain forklift certification
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter
  • Quick learner
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work cross-functionally
  • Attention to detail
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment screening process (including a drug test)
Education:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
Salary:
  • $20 - $22.00 per hour
Schedule:
  • 6:00am - 2:30pm (Monday - Friday)
  • Potential OT on weekends as needed
Must be willing to submit to a preemployment drug screen and background check.
