<p><strong>JOB SUMMARY</strong></p><p><br></p><p>XMC is looking for an energetic and driven Staffing Manager who’s ready to take on new and</p><p>exciting challenges with Canada’s Official Experiential Marketing™ Agency.</p><p>This role is ideal for an experienced people leader with deep recruitment expertise and a</p><p>commitment to developing high performing field teams. They are a dynamic thinker with a</p><p>positive approach to leadership, who builds strong client relationships and delivers consistent</p><p>results. Experience within the alcohol and beverage industry is a strong asset, as this role will</p><p>primarily support client programs in this category and requires an understanding of category</p><p>compliance, responsible service, and premium brand representation standards.</p><p>The Staffing Manager will serve as the main point of contact for the client and on premise</p><p>account partners, overseeing portal data input, scheduling, and ongoing communication to</p><p>ensure smooth program execution.</p><p><br></p><p>The ideal candidate is motivated, organized, and thrives in a fast paced environment where no</p><p>two days are alike. They bring a positive, solutions oriented mindset and take pride in building</p><p>and leading high performing field teams that deliver exceptional on premise sampling and</p><p>event experiences across Canada.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>KEY JOB FUNCTIONS / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p><strong>Overall</strong></p><p>− Leader in XMC staffing solutions department and effective program management</p><p>− Supports and develops marketing strategies/plans for alcohol sampling programing</p><p>− Lead, mentor, and support a team of Staffing Coordinators and Field Staff</p><p>− Own recruitment strategy and deployment plans for national alcohol sampling</p><p>programs</p><p>− Collaborate with account leads to forecast staffing needs and allocate internal</p><p>resources accordingly</p><p>− Review staff and client feedback and event data to drive performance improvements</p><p>− Strong understanding of responsible service regulations (e.g., Serving It Right, Smart</p><p>Serve, etc.).</p><p>− Understanding of the pace, timelines, and logistics that come with high-volume,</p><p>sampling staffingJ</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Strategic Staffing & Program Management</strong></p><p>− Oversee all staffing functions across all programs, from hiring and onboarding to on-</p><p>site compliance and payroll</p><p>− Design and execute scalable hiring campaigns to build talent pools for on-premise and</p><p>sampling events/programs</p><p>− Develop regional staffing strategies</p><p>− Work closely with field teams to evaluate and optimize program delivery</p><p>− Proactively resolve high-impact field issues, such as last-minute cancellations,</p><p>underperformance, or retail partner concerns</p><p>− Cultivate ongoing relationships with top-tier talent for rapid redeployment</p><p>Payroll & Administration</p><p>− Maintain accurate tracking systems for shift scheduling and payroll</p><p>− Input, review, and approve staff timesheets and expense submissions</p><p>− Upload payroll documents to the appropriate folders and internal systems</p><p>− Work with Ceridian payroll systems and/or ATS as required</p><p>− Develop, manage and reconcile program budgets for staffing operations</p><p><br></p><p><strong>XMC Morale</strong></p><p>− Foster a strong, collaborative team culture by leading with positivity, sharing strategic</p><p>insights, and creating an environment where team members feel supported and valued</p><p>− Model exceptional work ethic, professionalism, and adaptability, setting the tone for</p><p>reliability and flexibility across the team, including during non-traditional hours or</p><p>under tight timelines</p><p>− Apply advanced problem-solving skills and critical thinking to navigate complex</p><p>challenges, while inspiring the team to consistently exceed expectations</p><p><br></p><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED</strong></p><p>− Post-secondary education in Business, HR, Marketing, or a related field</p><p>− 3+ years of experience in staffing or talent acquisition, with at least 2 years in a</p><p>supervisory or managerial role</p><p>− Direct experience managing on-premise sampling programs (bars, restaurants, licensed</p><p>venues)</p><p>− Understanding of brand standards and consumer engagement within the</p><p>alcohol/beverage space.</p><p>− Experience collaborating with sales or territory managers from beverage clients on</p><p>field execution.</p><p>− Proven experience leading large-scale staffing programs, ideally across multiple</p><p>markets</p><p>− In-depth knowledge of Canadian labor laws and compliance practices</p><p>− Experience with scheduling tools, payroll systems (Ceridian preferred), and workforce</p><p>management software</p><p>− Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal communication skills</p><p>− Ability to manage a high volume of deadlines and field escalations in a fast-paced</p><p>environment</p><p>− Collaborative and solutions-focused mindset with sharp organizational skills</p><p>− Budget/Financial experience for effective program development, staff incentives and</p><p>reconciliation.</p><p>− Bilingual (French/English) an asset</p>
