ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Avaya is seeking a highly motivated and thorough individual to join as a product owner (aka Agile / Scrum Lead). As a Scrum Product Owner in professional services you will be part of a cross-functional Agile team of software architects, business analysts, and software engineers. Role is NAR remote with some travel as required to customer or office premises. 5+ years of proven industry sales experience required along with 2-4-years of experience of product ownership responsibilities and/or experience in gathering requirements for the development of web applications.

  • Work with internal and external customers to gather product requirements, analyze business needs and align product roadmaps to strategic goals.
  • Show flexibility to respond to the changing needs of the business.
  • Define scrum backlog items (epics/features/user stories) that guide the Scrum development team towards successful product delivery.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders during the visioning and concept development of a product.
  • Develop and maintain an appropriately prioritized backlog of user stories for implementation.
  • Develop detailed specifications for product features and clearly communicate those features so they are understood by the development teams.
  • Work closely with the Scrum Master to ensure scrum teams questions are answered and user story acceptance criteria is precise and clear.
  • Assess value, develop business cases, prioritize user stories, epics and themes to ensure product work focuses on those with a maximum value that are aligned with the business' strategic goals.

ABOUT YOU
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across functions, and interact, influence, and negotiate effectively with various levels of management and peers.
  • Proven ability to take a data-focused approach to understanding customer needs, translate strategic goals into action, and prioritize to improve value delivered.
  • An intrinsic leader within the Scrum team
  • Proven Sales experience, Vertical knowledge a plus
  • Self-sufficient with the ability to navigate a large organization, work with cross-functional teams and share information with other product owners and scrum teams.
  • Contact Center Knowledge and Architecture Design
  • Knowledge of Agile /Scrum development background
  • Strong Avaya UC/CC experience at solution level spanning multiple Avaya products.
  • Strong presenter of documentation
  • Advanced knowledge of computer applications, with a strong understanding of web software design and development, preferably utilizing Agile/Scrum techniques.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases.
  • Ability to write clear precise Scrum user stories for scrum teams. Proficient in Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Experience with market leading public Cloud solutions (AWS, Google, Azure) is a plus.
  • Working in a fast-paced global organization, ability to collaborate with remote teams is a must.
  • Strong Communicator and Client relationship Engagement
COMPENSATION

The pay range for this opportunity is from $110,580 to $138,240 + target sales incentive + benefits

This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and location.
