What You'll Do:

This position location is Home Office Canada. The position key geographies are Eastern Canada and British Columbia.

  • Drive profitable sales growth and a high-performance sales culture through a team of sellers across Eastern Canada and British Columbia .
  • Oversee the sales of a designated area, including receivables, product delivery and sales.
  • Meet or exceed Profit and Loss objectives for the assigned selling areas.
  • Ensures all business units effectively promote Nutrien UAP key products for the Division and develop strategies to achieve expected levels of sales and growth.
  • Provide coaching and leadership to sales staff to assure that sales and margin objectives are met. Provide direction to increase client base and improve profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
  • Effectively select, develop, and motivate Territory Managers to achieve maximum results while cultivating a continuous pipeline of managerial talent for the organization’s future.
  • Responsible for all aspects of human resource management within the sales division including hiring, promoting, performance management, coaching and discharging within company policy and regulatory compliance.
  • Reviews and analyzes progress towards the achievement of sales forecasts and operational objectives on a regular basis, and initiates action as required. Ensures accurate sales forecasts and expected results.
  • Complies and enforces all Nutrien and industry regulatory and safety, health, and environment standards.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business goals and market growth.
  • Successfully launch new products and drive growth of proprietary products.
  • Accountable for the development and management of divisional marketing strategies.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform sales strategies.
  • Model our core value of safety by enabling a culture in which you are actively contributing to a safe work environment.

What You'll Bring:

  • Agricultural or Commerce based degree or equivalent experience of 5 years.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of demonstrated successful experience of agriculture crop inputs sales & marketing. Three (3) years of this experience must have been in a management capacity.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Internal applicants may be considered in lieu of meeting minimum education and/or experience requirements.
