We are seeking a meticulous, detail-driven Remote Proofreader to join our team. The ideal candidate has an exceptional eye for grammar, punctuation, spelling, clarity, and consistency. You will review and refine written content across multiple formats, ensuring accuracy, readability, and quality before publication.

✍️ Key Responsibilities

  • Proofread and edit documents for grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity, and tone

  • Ensure all content meets brand, style, and formatting guidelines

  • Review various content types including articles, blogs, emails, reports, transcripts, product descriptions, and social media posts

  • Verify consistency in wording, terminology, and formatting

  • Suggest improvements for readability and flow

  • Identify and correct typographical and factual errors

  • Communicate with writers, editors, and team members when clarification is needed

  • Handle confidential content with professionalism

  • Meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality

🧠 Skills & Qualifications

  • Excellent command of the English language

  • Strong understanding of grammar, syntax, and editorial standards

  • Experience with style guides (APA, MLA, Chicago, AP) preferred

  • Ability to spot errors quickly and consistently

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment

  • Proficiency with editing/proofreading software (Grammarly, Google Docs, Word Track Changes)

  • Prior proofreading or editing experience is highly valued

Preferred Qualifications
