Best Buy is committed to enriching lives through technology, and they are seeking a Product Manager of Identity, Privacy & Tagging Infrastructure to lead the strategy and execution of privacy-safe identity solutions. This role involves collaboration with various teams to ensure compliance and accurate data capture in advertising capabilities.


Responsibilities

  • Be a key contributor to the product roadmap for identity resolution, consent management, and tagging infrastructure.
  • Define and implement privacy-safe tagging and beaconing strategies and solutions to support onsite and offsite signal capture.
  • Collaborate with engineering and legal teams to operationalize privacy policies and ensure compliance with regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Ensure data quality and signal integrity through rigorous QA processes and monitoring systems.
  • Evaluate and integrate third-party identity, privacy, and tagging platforms
  • Stay informed on regulatory changes and industry standards, contributing to internal documentation and product updates.
  • Improve identity resolution by implementing technology to collect and link multiple identifiers and metadata, ensuring accurate data matching across systems.
  • Launch data enrichment initiatives that incorporate Best Buy-specific identifiers and vetted external sources to strengthen identity profiles.
  • Define a measurement framework to understand the value of different data signals and data providers and partners.

Skills

  • 5+ years of product management experience in digital advertising, identity platforms, or tagging infrastructure.
  • 2+ years of experience with privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and their impact on advertising.
  • 2+ years of experience with tagging technologies (e.g., Google Tag Manager, Tealium, IAS, etc.), beaconing systems, and identity resolution platforms (e.g., LiveRamp, Neustar).
  • 2+ years of experience with ad tech platforms and ecosystem technology including DSPs, SSPs, CDPs, ad servers, and similar.
  • 2+ years of experience in SQL and experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Snowflake).
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Privacy, or related field.
  • Certifications in privacy or data protection (e.g., CIPP/US, CIPT).
  • Experience supporting incrementality testing and conversion tracking through instrumentation.
  • Experience in a closed media ecosystem like Google, Amazon, Meta, or similar.
  • Familiarity with consent management platforms and privacy-safe data architecture.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, legal, and analytics teams.
