Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate billing and coding for medical services provided to patients. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and the ability to manage medical records efficiently. As a Medical Biller, you will contribute to the financial health of our organization while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Duties

  • Review and verify patient information and insurance details for accuracy.
  • Code medical diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10, ICD-9, and DRG coding systems.
  • Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies and follow up on outstanding claims.
  • Manage accounts receivable by tracking payments and resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintain organized medical records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance representatives regarding billing inquiries.
  • Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices.

Skills

  • Proficiency in medical coding systems including ICD-10, ICD-9, and DRG.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to billing processes.
