ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: All duties and responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with CSI’s/Spark policies, procedures, guidelines, contractual commitments, and regulations.
  • Providing specialized nursing interventions such as administering medication, providing respiratory support, managing feeding tubes, and handling wound care.
  • Providing educational services, enhancing parents' or guardians' confidence and competence in caring for their child with special needs.
  • Collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary health team, including HHAs and CNAs.
  • Assisting parents in navigating and accessing available community resources.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Level of education and/or experience to successfully accomplish the essential duties of the position.
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university; or three to five years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two (2) years general pediatric nursing experience preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
  • Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
  • BLS Certification is required.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of home healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff and stakeholders.
  • Robust interpersonal and communication skills. Patient, compassionate, and empathetic.
  • Passion for working with children and families.
  • Ability to effectively perform in a fast-paced work environment, with moderate noise, while maintaining attention to detail and adhering to safety protocols.

POSITION SUMMARY: Spark Pediatrics has an immediate opening for a Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) in our Medical Daycare, a prominent Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) provider. This position allows you to return to the core of nursing, working alongside dedicated Home Health Aides (HHAs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). It's an enriching role that enables you to make a real difference in the lives of children with special needs.
We cater to children ages 0-21 who require a nursing intervention due to physical needs. This is a rewarding role that allows for a direct impact on the lives of children who need special care. Currently, our hours of operation are 6 AM - 6 PM, Monday -Friday, with potential Saturday openings as need arises.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • This role is based in a dynamic, fast-paced medical daycare setting that can be quite busy and at times chaotic. The nature of the environment requires an individual who can maintain calmness and professionalism under pressure. Moderate noise levels are to be expected due to active care and engagement with children. It's important that the successful candidate can effectively adapt to these conditions while continuously providing high-quality care to our patients.
