Your voice matters here, because we know that to inspire and retain the best people, we must empower them. </em> </strong> </p><p><strong>Providence Health Plan is calling a Principal Clinical Informatics Specialist RN who will: </strong> </p><ul><li>Combine advanced clinical nursing skills with technical knowledge to create systems that improve the quality of patient outcomes </li><li>Drive Providence Health Plan's clinical data acquisition efforts, with a primary focus on acquisition of electronic medical record data </li><li>Partner closely with key network partners to understand current state workflows </li><li>Educate providers on the HEDIS measure specifications </li><li>Possess strong technical knowledge of Electronic Medical Record Reporting, Clinical Quality Measurement, Data Integration, metric evolution </li><li>Have advanced knowledge of desktop software applications (e.g., MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Tableau, etc.) </li><li>Interpret clinical quality measures with a strong understanding of how current state workflows fit (or do not fit) into HEDIS metrics </li><li>Serve as an Informatics subject matter expert with attention to detail and strong analytical thinking skills </li><li>Lead the way with development and identification of strategies and best practices </li><li>Analyze EHR data to identify areas where care can be improved </li><li>Possess a broad knowledge and understanding of the trends and changes taking place in health care, including HEDIS Electronic Clinical Data Systems Measurement and reporting </li><li>Conduct primary source verification on clinical data </li><li>Facilitate process and program enhancements to support Providence Health Plan's clinical data acquisition program </li><li>Promulgate use of evidence-based clinical practice by developing best practices and corresponding performance improvement projects </li><li>Serve as a leader applying advanced education and experience to effectively address complex clinical-technical challenges in diverse healthcare delivery environments </li><li>Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of clinical process and practice standards, patient flow and operational processes </li><li>Foster their personal knowledge by keeping abreast of developments in Informatics and industry trends </li> </ul><p><strong>Providence Health Plan welcomes 100% remote work for applicants who reside in one of the following States: </strong> </p><ul><li>Oregon </li><li>Washington </li><li>California </li> </ul><p><strong><em>Please note the following important detail regarding this role: </em> </strong> </p><ul><li>This position is affiliated with Providence Health Plan and will be tied to a location and compensation range in Beaverton, Oregon </li> </ul><p><strong>Required qualifications for this position include: </strong> </p><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree - Nursing </li><li>5+ Years of clinical experience in a hospital, clinic or health plan setting </li><li>3+ Years of experience with quality measurement (E.G.
