Description Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. The ideal candidate has proven experience leading large projects and expert-level knowledge of current networking technologies. They must excel in an entrepreneurial environment, managing ambiguity and competing priorities. As an NDE, you'll anticipate bottlenecks, influence vendors and internal teams, manage escalations, and balance business needs with technical constraints. You'll use and improve team-developed tools, emphasizing metrics, scalability, and continuous improvement to automate tasks, eliminate outages, and ensure high network availability. Key job responsibilities Architect innovative network solutions and collaborate with deployment and systems teams to ensure rapid, seamless implementation Provide escalation support for troubleshooting complex networking issues, including switching, routing, interconnectivity, performance, and platform configurations Establish and maintain network engineering standards, partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with industry best practices and security requirements Develop and enhance network automation tools to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention Drive operational excellence through process optimization, comprehensive documentation, and creation of targeted training programs for support teams Engage proactively with technology vendors to drive bug fixes, feature enhancements, and product improvements, ensuring our network infrastructure remains leading-edge and reliable. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
