Role and Responsibilities of Merchandise Stocker:

The duties of a Merchandise Stocker comprise of creating a structured and appealing shopping setting through the regular upkeep, filling, and cleaning of shelves. You may also be called upon to provide support as a cashier or checker as and when necessary.

  • Overnight responsibilities include stocking and organizing merchandise on shelves to promote a clean and well-stocked store environment.
  • Safely operate designated equipment, such as box cutters, pallet jacks, forklifts, and compactors.
  • Ensure the store remains clean and well-organized throughout your shift.
  • Maintain precise stocking levels and rotate products consistently to retain their freshness.
  • Offer customer service that is both friendly and helpful as needed.
  • Help manage the checkout process by operating as a cashier/checker when support is requested.
