Deliver.</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Our heavy industrial manufacturing client in the Toronto area is seeking an experienced <strong>Mechanical Engineering Manager</strong> to lead their mechanical engineering department and drive projects from concept through production. This is a senior leadership role for a technically strong, people-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What We Offer</strong></p><ul><li>Healthy, competitive salary</li><li>10% bonus</li><li>Full company-paid benefits package</li><li>Vacation time</li><li>Opportunity to lead impactful projects and shape engineering strategy</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p><ul><li>As the Mechanical Engineering Manager, you will provide strategic and technical leadership while ensuring successful project execution and continuous improvement across the department.</li><li>Lead and manage a mechanical team (5-6) of designers, hydraulics techs, tooling techs </li><li>Oversee the design, analysis, and development of mechanical components and systems</li><li>Provide technical direction across design, testing, prototyping, and validation</li><li>Manage engineering projects end-to-end, including scope, cost, schedule, and risk</li><li>Review prototype testing results and drive performance, reliability, and safety improvements</li><li>Establish training programs, best practices, and process improvements</li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams</li><li>Identify and support new product and project opportunities</li><li>Manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation</li><li>Conduct performance reviews and support professional development</li><li>Communicate project status, risks, and technical issues to senior leadership</li><li>Stay current with emerging technologies and implement advancements</li><li>Resolve engineering issues and ensure products meet quality and regulatory requirements</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>What You Bring</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred)</li><li>15+ years of mechanical engineering experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role</li><li>Proven success managing engineering teams and delivering complex projects in heavy industrial environments (<em>metal, stamping, precision tooling, metalforming, etc)</em></li><li>Strong knowledge of mechanical design, manufacturing processes, and CAD tools</li><li>Excellent project management, leadership, and problem-solving skills</li><li>Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments</li><li>Familiarity with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and QA practices</li></ul><p><br></p><p>If you’re ready to lead high-performing teams and deliver innovative mechanical solutions, we’d love to hear from you.</p>
