Job Summary

As a Lab Dispatcher and Customer Service Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory services. You will be responsible for coordinating the dispatch of orders, communicating with facilities and technicians, and providing exceptional customer service to our clients. This is a remote overnight shift role, working from 10 PM to 6:30 AM Central Time, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Properly document changes to orders requested by facilities and/or ordering physicians.
  • Coordinate estimated time of arrival (ETA) with technicians and facilities upon request.
  • Ensure dispatched orders are confirmed as received by technicians.
  • Contact facilities when scheduling or re-scheduling is necessary for any reason.
  • Coordinate reassignment of orders to different technicians when necessary.
  • Assist with inbound customer service calls as needed or directed.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to client inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office software to manage and track orders, communicate with clients, and maintain accurate records.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED required.
  • Proficient to expert use of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly listen, confirm, and relay information.
  • Ability to focus on tasks in a busy, call center environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a laboratory or healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with laboratory information systems and medical terminology.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
