About Us

Fraser Valley Biogas was the first on farm biogas to Renewable Natural Gas facility in Western Canada to inject Renewable Natural Gas to a utility pipeline. We are wholly owned by EverGen Infrastructure Corp., a Canadian company focused on developing and operating a portfolio of Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) infrastructure projects. Converting organic waste into RNG, which is injected into the existing natural gas grid, involved in waste-to-energy projects and the production of carbon credits, compost, and soil.

Position Overview

We’re seeking an individual to join our team as a Junior Operator to assist in the operation and maintenance of the processing facility. The ideal candidate would be an energetic, self-motivated person who is not afraid to take responsibility for the smooth operation of the facility as part of a dedicated team. The role would require working both in the office and outdoors in all weather conditions, with a key focus on safety and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Duties:

· Daily operational rounds and checks

· Assist operations with feedstock management

· Supporting the maintenance team to complete preventative maintenance and repairs

· Operation of a telehandler to move feedstock material

· Maintain site cleanliness and organization

· Inputting data

· Supporting feedstock receiving to ensure excellent client experience

2. Safety and Environmental Compliance:

· Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

· Follow environmental regulations and guidelines to minimize environmental impact

· Report any safety or environmental concerns promptly

3. Team Collaboration:

· Collaborate with other team members to ensure safe & efficient facility operations

· Communicate effectively with supervisors and management regarding operational issues

Qualifications

  • Experience in industrial operations and processing is an asset
  • Valid drivers license
  • Heavy equipment operation considered an asset
  • Mechanical aptitude or millwright experience
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • High attention to safety and detail oriented
  • Computer literate (e.g., spreadsheets, maintenance software)
  • Willingness to commute to facility daily
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Physically fit and capable of working in varied conditions
  • Ability to life up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Comfort working in outdoor and sometimes adverse weather conditions
