<p>6ix City Logistics is a new, independent delivery service partner, serving Amazon Prime customers from Amazon's facility at 600 Tesma Way, Vaughan, ON., L4K5C2.</p><p><br></p><p>As a Delivery Associate (DA), you will deliver packages to homes, retail and other delivery locations. In this position, you will play a key role in keeping our commitment to exceed clients’ expectations and make sure all the orders, large or small, are delivered on time at the right place. We are seeking mature, professional, responsible, eager, reliable and dependable driver associates (DA) who want to be a part of our customer and employee centric company.</p><p><br></p><p>The ideal candidate is currently seeking an opportunity with a growing company with opportunities for advancement, considers themselves hardworking, enthusiastic, energetic, outgoing, motivated, punctual, customer service savvy, all wrapped up in a positive attitude.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>General Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Delivery Associates/Drivers drive a delivery van to drop off Amazon packages to customers within their community</li><li>Plan on working about 3-5 days a week on a part time position (weekends and holidays included)</li><li>Typical working day is 7 to 9 hours</li><li>Conduct a start & end of day vehicle inspection</li><li>Follow strict safety standards on and off the road</li><li>Use handheld technology to manage the delivery process and solve obstacles</li><li>Ensure delivery vehicle is clean, fueled, and in good operating condition at all times</li><li>Maintain a clean and damage free van</li><li>May assist in training other team members and help coworkers</li><li>Follow Amazon designated safety protocol and procedures</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Work Environment:</strong></p><p>Drives a delivery Amazon branded high roof van up to 10,000 pounds to many customer residences and businesses, climbs in and out of van, and walks up and down stairs as required to deliver packages according to established procedures in all weather conditions</p><p>Flexibility is key; routes may vary and may be delayed due to traffic from on road congestion, construction or other factors</p><p>Set core schedule, but there may be adjustments including additional hours and potential schedule changes depending on time of the year, peak seasons and other factors.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Basic Job Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Must be at least 25 years old</li><li>Must have a valid Ontario driver's license in good standing (CDL not required)</li><li>CDN Work Authorization</li><li>High-School diploma or equivalent</li><li>Must be able to operate and navigate a large delivery van with a gross vehicle weight of 10,000 lbs. or less</li><li>Must be able to move, lift or push boxes up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation</li><li>Ability to lift, bend, reach above the head, kneel, crouch, and/or stretch during shifts up to 12 hours long</li><li>Are physically capable of getting in and out of van every few minutes (up to 150 to 200 times/day) to deliver up to 250 packages/day</li><li>Capable of moving up and down stairs</li><li>Must have the ability to effectively operate a GPS</li></ul><p dir="ltr"><strong>Preferred Job requirements: </strong></p><ul><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Prior professional driving experience</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Proven track record of reliability</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Excellent attention to detail with skill set to problem solve independently</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Ability to work with a team in a fast paced, ever changing environment</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Self-motivated and able to work in a self-directed environment with an upbeat attitude</p></li></ul><p dir="ltr"><strong> We Offer:</strong></p><ul><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Competitive Compensation - $18.00/hour </p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Leadership opportunities</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Flexibility to schedule, work from 2 days up to 4 days a week</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Full time shifts include two paid 15 minute breaks and one unpaid 30 minute lunch break</p></li><li><p dir="ltr">Health Benefits</p></li><li><p dir="ltr">Accrued paid time off</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Paid driver training course for cleared candidates</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Branded vans and uniforms </p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Paid gas for delivery van</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Free parking</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Merit based bonuses & incentives</p></li></ul><p><br></p><p dir="ltr">6ix City Logistics is an Affirmative Action-Equal Opportunity Employer – Minority /Men/ Women / Disability / Veteran /</p><p><br></p><p dir="ltr"><em>Experience in similar business would be a plus! </em></p><p dir="ltr"><br></p><p dir="ltr"><em>Think you are an ideal candidate???
