Job description: The College of Arts and Sciences is seeking a qualified individual to serve as a teaching faculty member and Assistant Director for the Online Bachelor of Science in Psychology Program in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences. The selected candidate will support the University mission to educate the whole person, from the perspective that "every individual matters every day", glorify God in their work and life, and have a teaching philosophy that reflects a Christian worldview. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.

This is a full-time, 10-month position; on-ground; Montgomery, AL campus. Summer teaching appointments are possible. Faculty rank, tenure status and salary will be commensurate with academic qualifications and teaching experience.

Summary of Duties:

  • Teaching undergraduate level courses; student advising
  • Assist the department chair with curriculum review and program assessment
  • Provide guidance to students enrolling in the program
  • Assist with class scheduling and quality control of the courses
  • Assist with student and adjunct needs
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in psychology required; doctorate degree in psychology preferred
  • Teaching experience at the college level required; online teaching experience preferred
  • Experience with curriculum alignment, program assessment, and quality evaluation of online programs preferred
  • Active member of the church of Christ
