The Opportunity

We're seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Wildlife Fundraiser in the New Forest. As a Wildlife Fundraiser, you'll play a vital role in spreading awareness about our conservation efforts and inspiring individuals to become lifelong members. You'll work independently, engaging with members of the public, and building a community of supporters who share our passion for nature.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to different venues, set up an attractive fundraising stand, and engage with members of the public to promote our conservation efforts.
  • Build relationships with potential members, sharing your passion for nature and inspiring them to join our community.
  • Work independently, using your excellent communication skills to effectively engage with a diverse range of people.
  • Meet and exceed fundraising targets, using your creativity and enthusiasm to drive success.
  • Participate in comprehensive training to develop your knowledge of wildlife conservation and enhance your fundraising skills.
  • Enjoy the flexibility of a 3 to 5-day workweek contract, with a set salary and opportunities for sabbaticals.

About You

We're looking for individuals with a passion for conservation, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to learn. You don't need prior fundraising experience - we'll provide comprehensive training to equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to succeed. If you have a background in hospitality, customer service, sales, or volunteering, you'll have a great foundation to build on.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A passion for conservation (no prior knowledge required).
  • Resilience and ability to work to targets.
  • A valid UK driver's license.
  • Willingness to work 3 out of 4 weekends and travel (on average) an hour away from home each day.
  • Ability to work outdoors and independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fundraising, sales, or customer service experience.
  • Negotiating and storytelling skills.
  • Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
