What You Will Do:

  • Studio Monitoring and Quality Control

    • Apply a deep knowledge of HoYoverse products' lore and storylines to oversee voice acting content during recording sessions, ensuring adherence to scripts and lore, and facilitating communication to adjust performances as needed.

    • Manage recording audio quality, ensuring proper equipment setup and adherence to audio technical requirements.

    • Prepare scripts and reference materials in required formats, and provide on-site interpretation as needed. Maintain an efficient and orderly recording environment.

    • Collaborate with the localization team and voice-over PM to oversee the quality control aspect of localized voice resources, taking responsibility for final voice files.

  • Project Management and Coordination

    • Manage the full lifecycle of voice recording, including pre-production, recording process, and post-production QA.

    • Coordinate recording schedules and timelines, ensuring timely delivery of voice assets within reasonable budget.

    • Liaise between internal teams, external vendors, directors, actors and all stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

    • Address special voice-over requirements and manage/mitigate potential risks.

  • Technical and Creative Duties

    • Support casting needs, including arranging and guiding auditions (on-site or remote), and producing actor recommendations.

    • Develop audio editing and mixing skills, with the goal of handling basic post-production tasks independently.

  • Industry Development

    • Establish and maintain industry networks, including voice-over related personnel such as vendors, actors, directors, and producers.

    • Stay informed about the latest trends in the voice-over industry, providing suggestions for HoYoverse's voice-over strategies.

 

What We Are Looking For:

  • Language Skills: Near-native proficiency in both Chinese and English, able to fluently understand Chinese scripts and communicate with on-site directors, actors, and sound engineers.

  • Industry Experience:

    • Familiar with game development processes, especially multilingual production workflows and standards.

    • Understanding of voice-over industry conventions and norms.

    • Experience with full-cycle localization voice-over production.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Knowledge of third-party audio middleware (e.g., Wwise) is preferred.

  • Personal Qualities:

    • Passionate about voice directing and sound performance, with a demonstrated enthusiasm for HoYoverse games. (Please specify your experience and level in existing HoYoverse games)

    • Strong teamwork, communication, and execution skills; detail-oriented and self-motivated.

    • Strong passion for anime culture and games, with knowledge of text and voice-over styles across multiple game genres. Ability to appreciate various forms of media including literature, art, and multimedia.

    • Deep understanding of game narratives and character development.
