About the position

ECS Limited is offering a unique opportunity for a talented Field Technician to join our Fort Worth team and advance in a dynamic work environment. This entry-level position requires no prior experience, as all training and certifications will be provided. The starting pay ranges from $16 to $23 per hour, and candidates from diverse backgrounds and abilities are encouraged to apply. As a Field Technician, you will work under the guidance of experienced professionals to learn how to safely perform a variety of tasks related to construction materials testing. Your role will involve conducting observations, testing, sampling, and inspection of various materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement. You will execute tasks based on project requirements while collaborating with senior technicians, staff professionals, and project managers. In this position, you will conduct routine field and laboratory tests for various materials using different methodologies and testing equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards. You will also be responsible for performing calculations and data reduction based on sampling, test results, and inspections, as well as engaging in drafting and other administrative duties as required. Daily communication with site contractors, fellow technicians, and project managers will be essential to maintain project flow and ensure accurate reporting of findings. As you gain experience, ECS will support your professional development by encouraging participation in internal and external training programs and certification opportunities provided by recognized organizations such as ACI, ASNT, AWS, ICC, NICET, NRCA, RCI, and various State DOTs.

Responsibilities
