About the Role

The ION Openlink Consultant will collaborate with Amazon’s energy, finance, and operations teams to optimize system performance, improve trade lifecycle efficiency, and manage integrations within the ION Openlink platform. This is a highly strategic role that blends technology, analytics, and business understanding — ideal for professionals who want to make a real impact in digital transformation.

You’ll work closely with solution architects, database engineers, and global business analysts to design and implement scalable solutions that improve accuracy and automation across trading and energy management workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Configure, customize, and support ION Openlink Endur systems for trade capture, risk management, and settlements.

Develop and maintain interfaces between Openlink and other enterprise systems (such as SAP, Oracle, and AWS cloud).

Analyze and optimize data models, pricing engines, and risk workflows.

Provide technical leadership on performance tuning, batch optimization, and error-handling processes.

Collaborate with traders, risk analysts, and finance teams to define system requirements and deploy effective solutions.

Participate in end-to-end testing, troubleshooting, and release management in a cloud environment.

Support ongoing automation initiatives to simplify operational reporting and reduce manual processes.

Preferred Skills & Experience

To succeed in this position, you should bring both technical mastery and strategic business understanding.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.

4+ years of experience with ION Openlink Endur (configuration, scripting, and workflow design).

Strong proficiency in OpenComponents, AVS, or Java coding.

Experience integrating Openlink with cloud services (AWS preferred).

Familiarity with trading, risk, or energy market operations.

Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in an Agile environment.

AWS Cloud Practitioner or Developer Certification.

Knowledge of SQL Server, Python, or data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).

Understanding of financial instruments (derivatives, futures, swaps, etc.).
